
Apart from this you can also reach Ambala by plane as the
closest airport is situated at Delhi and it is only 200 km from Ambala. The
Delhi Airport is one of the biggest airports in the country and it is already a
known fact tha flights from all over the world are always coming here. The
airport is even connected very conviniently to all the metros and even every
other global city like London, Paris, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and many other places. From
the airport you can reach Ambala by paying only 7 rs for each km.
There are also several government and private buses that
connect Delhi and Ambala and these go regularly to and from the two cities. If
you want AC Volvo buses then you will have to take a private bus and these are
great option. These AC tickets will cost not more than 600 rs for each trip.
The most important tourist attractions of Ambala are the
BhawaniAmba Temple, which has been named after the goddess Bhawani and is
visited by pious people all around the year. There is also the Kali Mata Mandir
which is famous for the goddess that it worships and devotees are always
crowding this divine grounds. There are also the Badshahi Bag Gyrdwara and the
Sis GanjGurdwara which are the most important gurdwaras in Ambala and visited
regularly. The other tourist spots of Ambala are the Manji Sahib Gurdwara and
the Sangat Sahib Gurdwara.
Other than these there are also shrined where Muslim people
can visit. These popular shrines of Lakhi Shah and Taqwal Shah are also very
famous and is a must see for Muslims.
Apart from this there are the Saint Paul's church and an old
British Christian cemetery.
There is also some very attractive gardens that are
beautifully decorated and maintained and the tu=ourists would love to see these
gardens. Among these parks there are the Patel Park in AmbalaCantt and the City
Park in Ambala City.
The Planetarium at Ambala is one of the first of its kind to
have been built in this country and was established in 1950s. The planetarium
was first built by the PanditJagannath Sharma who was a master in the building
of scientific instruments.
