They are exactly located on the tributary plains the Hiran, Ken, Sone, Gour Rivers and on the shores of the holy river Narmada. The valley that is along Narmada River is well known for its Marble Rocks. This is a unique formation where the whole river flows for approximately 2kms between multi coloured and tinted marble rocks with a deeper water fall.
Jabalpur is a great industrial city that has a large component of defence industry along with a lot of cottage industry in smaller size. It is well known for education as well. There are two universities in the city namely Rani Durgavati and Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University that has almost 30 colleges with various ranges of faculties. The people who live in this city are very much oriented towards artistic and cultural works. It is believed to be friendly to sing songs without any reason at all. Most of the people here only speaks Hindi and local variants of the language. The people who can speak English are generally placed in government institutes and the style of their English would be much similar to old Shakespearian. So this city is often the perfect place to be visited for experiencing the central culture of India. Mostly people here listen to local Radio and music for entertainment as a part of their life. City life here is very slow and relaxed. Most of the people here will wake up from bed early and go to work and come back home during the evening hours to have a better hearty tasty dinner along with family.

Jabalpur is also well known place for formation of eroded volcanic rock that is called as Balancing Rock of Jabalpur. Surprisingly this rock resisted even the earthquake of magnitude 6.5. It is realised that it`s not possible to disturb their balance.
Apart from Balancing Rock, there are more spots inlcuding in Jabalpur Tourism like Bargi Dam, Rani Durgavati Memorial and Museum,  Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha Kisli National Park, Madan Mahal Fort,Bajnamath, Sangram Sagar.
Tilwara Ghat, Jalashay Water Works,Gwari Ghat.There are also some temples like Pushti Margiya Mandir of Lord Krishna and Radha, available here.
