How to reach Dharwad: the 2nd most industrialized city in Maharashtra

In Dharwad District, Dharwad is the administrative capital. This city is positioned 425 km north-west of Bengaluru, on NH-4, which is the main highway between Pune and Bangalore. Dharwad is very important in business transportation system and Dharwad is about 462km away from Bengaluru.
The weather is mildly warm during the April-May, and quite lovely during rest of the year.
Dharwad is well-known for its help to Indian culture, most remarkably to classical literature and music. This city gives us few prestigious educational institutions, like the Karnataka University,University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad and many more. The communication system between two metropolitan and the educational system makes this city very popular among the students and the businessmen.
Tata Motors,One of the largest automotive giants in the south Asia has a commercial vehicle manufacturing factory here. This branch manufactures small and medium commercial vehicles for the Indian market. This unit is located on National Highway 4 and this factory is in the outskirt of the cityand it is near the Dharwad high court.
There are mechanical tools industries. Even there are food products, electrical, rubber and leather industries and tanning industries, as well as steel furniture industries.

How to reach:

It’s true that this city is well connected to the major cities of the country via road transport. But you can go there by air and train though.
Bus:
Hubli isDhawad’s twin city. This city well connected by road, rail and air. A great intercity bus transportation system has been built up by the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation.You will find many private bus operators who run their services for overnight travel between Hubli and Mumbai, Bangalore, Mangalore, Hyderabad, Pune.
Rail:
Every day many passenger and express trains ply between Hubli and Bangalore.FromHubli, passengers would find trains for Bijapur, Gadag, Bagalkot, Belgaum, Solapur, Bellary,Bangalore, Mangalore, Mumbai, Davangere, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Mysore, Tirupati and weekly services to Thiruvanantapuram ,Chennai, and  Howrah. This Hubli railway station is very important railway staion in Karnataka
Air:
Hubli has a domestic airport on Gokul Road. Flights are available for Bangalore and Mumbai.IATA code: HBX. This airport is 20 km away from Dharwad. You will get taxi or bus from the airport to reach Dharwad.


Tourism:

·         Lord Shiva temple: A temple of Chalukya times is situated in Hubli. Here Lord shiva is worshiped.
·         Nrupatunga Hill: this is one of most visited place in the Dharwad city. It is also used as a picnic spot.
·         Unkal Lake: from here tourists will get a clear sunset view. This lake is very popular among the children as there is boating facility. The beautiful lake is 3 km away from Hubli.
Other famous tourist spots are Indira Gandhi Glass House Garden,Dharwad Regional Science Center, Science and Cultural museum etc.
