rail and road. By NH-3 to Agra and by, Central Railway to Mumbai, Howrah,
Guwahati, New Delhi, etc.It is a major railway station with all trains stopping
for 20 minutes as there is a change of locomotive engine. There is a major
presence of the Indian Railways within this small town. So one hoping How to reach the city? Is out of the
question. Igatpuri railway station lies in Nashik District between Mumbai and
Nashik Road on the Central Railway.This region consists of those mountains
which are accessed by trains. So taking your own private vehicle is another
option. The drive is too long but is a visual treat. It’s about 130 km from
Mumbai and well connected by road - the NH-3. Most hotels are within the city
and easily accessible from the railway station and bus stands.Two hours journey

available from Mumbai to Kasara.The nearest airport is Chatrapati Shivaji
International Airport, Mumbai, which is nearly 140 km from Igatpuri, but one can
even try Ozar. Igatpuri railway station is connected to Mumbai VT station by
many railways. The major railway station is at Kasara, which is connected to
many cities through rail link.

Igatpuri’s economy is Tourism. Bhatsa River Valley, Arthur Lake, Kalsubai Peak,
Amruteshwar Temple, Dhamma Giri Meditation Centre, Ghatandevi Temple,
Tringalwadi Fort, Camel Valley are amongst the most beautiful place one should
never forget visiting Igatpuri. One most magnificent thing to watch is The Five
Waterfalls, falling one below the other, are five waterfalls that form which
