There are various options in
reaching Hampi. The gateway town to Hampi is Hospet , which is a bustling town that is situated too close to
the Hampi ruins. This is one of the major travel point from where you can avail
connections for travel apart and across Hampi.
There are good connectivity from
Hospet to various number of major towns and cities that around here and other
parts of India as well through better road and rail connections. For instance,
if you are commuting from faraway places to Hampi you can look for direct train
connectivity from any place to Hospet Railway junction. Hampi is approximately
a short bus ride from the Hospet town.
There are some interstate
services that link the cities of nearby states. Though this might not be as
comfortable as the train journey, this is apt for the short distance travel
which makes you feel that you can opt for this sort of bus services.

There are more number of trains
that passes through Hampi.Trains like Haripriya Express, Rayalaseema Express,
Garib Nawaz Express, Jodhpur Express, Amaravati Express will be passing through
Hampi as this place is a very good place for tourism.Few places like Hubli and
Guntakal has major rail junctions at the west and east of Hospet respectively.
Though they are bit far from Hospet, you can still manage to get some long
distance train connections from there. You can still browse the probability of
utilizing these places as the point of transit for reaching Hampi.

We have got two airports nearer
to Hampi, One at Bellary and the other at Hubli. They need at least 2 to 3 hour
travel by road from the Hampi site. Apart from them there are only few flights
available as there are no major airports.

Hampi by bus. The government operators like KSRTC operate daily services with
more varieties ad luxuries like AC and non-AC types. There are also other
private operators available who operates daily trips to Hospet from nearby

Hampi is also place for tourism
filled with spots like Religious buildings, civil buildings, Military
buildings, and many more important sites. Hampi has got various famous and
notable Hindu temples that is included in Hampi
Tourism along with some vedanta mythology in the temples. Some of those mythology are being used actively as the places of worship. Few
temples like Achyutaraya Temple, Badava Linga, Chandramauleshwar Temple,
Malyavanta Raghunathaswamy temple, Hazara Rama Temple Complex, which is well
known for its thousand carvings & inscriptions on & in the temple
explaining the holy story of Ramayana.
There are also some places like
Hemakuta group of temples which has Krishna Temple Complex that has been
recently digged through till the last decade is also included in Hampi Tourism. The rejuvenation work is
started and it is still going on. The temple has also got the Sacred Tank which
is also called Pushkarani that is located to its east.
The architecture of vittala
temple that includes Vittala Temple Complex has a stone chariot which is
perhaps the most popular and invariably known through the ruins of Hampi.
The temple houses the popular
musical pillars. The British people wanted to identify the reason for this
wonder. Hence they had two pillars cut to check anything was there in the
pillars which was producing the music. They were unable to find anything but
the pillars were hollow.
